PIP implants - The way forward

There may be a danger to the health of persons who have received surgical implants manufactured by PIP to a substandard specification. Their removal may be advisable.
The petitioners request you to
1. Create a national register of recipients and monitor under NHS. Give medical advice on the need for removal 2. Establish a compensation scheme to reimburse costs of replacement surgery, pain, suffering and the recovery of reasonable financial losses 3. Establish an independent regulatory regime for Cosmetic Surgery including a register of practitioners who meet regulatory requirements to be insured with UK insurers for all liability arising from procedures and products. 4.All known risks of surgery to be communicated to patients at first consultation and 7 days before
