More surgeons are raising concerns about sub-muscular (under the muscle) implants. In a recent published, peer-reviewed study, a senior British surgeon showed sub-muscular (sub-glandular or dual-plane) PIP implants are more likely to rupture. Some plastic surgeons are very concerned about this specific procedure. There are additional concerns for surgeons undertaking sub-muscular En Bloc removals according to BAAPS. We wonder, are under the muscle implants affecting women differently? PIP Action Campaign is conducting a little survey for women with over or under the muscle PIP implants.
